Communication Skills and Respectful Conversations

Published on 15 December 2023

In-Person Event

With increasing dependence on technology and the palpable impact of social restrictions during the pandemic, there is a need for us to refocus on our communication skills to ensure positive workplace interactions.  Line managers and HR are integral to the success of nurturing a positive workplace culture by modelling respectful communication.  This is an interactive and reflective seminar designed to give you practical skills and food for thought.

Who should attend

The seminar will be relevant to anyone who has an interest in building their awareness of communication skills in the workplace.  This includes human resource practitioners, trade union representatives, line managers, supervisors, team leaders, employee representatives or employers.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this seminar participants will have the tools to:

  • Understand the foundations of positive communication.
  • Have an awareness of self and others when communicating.
  • Recognise communication styles and areas for development.
  • Use the skills to foster respectful conversations in the workplace.
  • Deal with more challenging interactions.

Date and Time:  Tuesday 6th February 2024 (10.00am – 12.30pm).

Presenter:  Caroline Samia

Registered attendees will receive a copy of the slide deck in PDF format in advance of the seminar via email.

We seek to continuously develop and improve our events.  A short survey will be available at the end of the seminar and should take no longer than 5-10 minutes of your time to complete and return.  We would really welcome your feedback.
