What we do
The Labour Relations Agency provides free, impartial and confidential services to employers, employer bodies, employees and workers in Northern Ireland, as well as Trade Unions, HR and legal professionals.
These services include advice on good employment practice and the resolution of workplace disputes through conciliation, mediation, arbitration and independent appeals.
Promoting employment relations
The Agency promotes good employment relations as a key contributor to productive workplaces and a healthy, thriving economy. We support new and growing businesses in Northern Ireland with a free document vetting service, giving organisations confidence that their employment documentation is legally compliant and adheres to best practice.
Training and development
In addition, the Agency offers a wide range of training seminars, briefings and workshops. Anyone with responsibilities in employment-related issues is welcome to come along to find out about the latest developments in employment legislation, as well as practical skills in line management and handling disputes.
