Early Conciliation
The Labour Relations Agency provides an Early Conciliation service following a change in NI employment law which took effect on 27 January 2020. This service helps to resolve workplace disputes in a legally binding way, without the need to take a case to the Industrial or Fair Employment Tribunal. The Working Time (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2023
These Regulations make provision relating to employment under the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023 (c. 28) (“2023 Act”) by way of amendments to the Working Time Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016 (S.R. 2016 No. 49) (“2016 Regulations”).

No.290 The Industrial Court (Proceedings) Rules (Northern Ireland) 2007
These rules allow for any party to be represented by counsel or solicitor in proceedings before the Industrial Court arising from the legislative provisions listed in the Schedule, that is: the ICE Regulations 2005, the Transnational ICE Regulations 1999, the European Public Limited Liability Company Regulations 2004, and the European Cooperative Society (Involvement of Employees) Regulations 2006.

These regulations amend the primary and secondary legislation on age discrimination by altering provisions in relation to statutory sick pay, dismissal for exercising the right of accompaniment, aspects of Social Security Contributions and benefits and aspects of inter-related law impacting on those under 16.
