This Order stipulates two dates for when the 1997 Order will come into effect:
Apprenticeship
An apprentice is someone who is engaged through an employment contract to undertake a course of training and learning in order to practice a skilled trade or profession.
Statutory Adoption Pay
One of the qualifying conditions for receipt of SAP is to have average weekly earnings (before tax) of £123 or more (April 2024).
Leave without pay
There may be circumstances where an employee is required to take unpaid leave from their employment.
No. 53 The Flexible Working (Eligibility, Complaints and Remedies) (Amendments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007
These regulations amend the 2003 regulations of the same name by extending the right to request flexible working to employees who care for certain adult relatives. The Regulations come into effect on 06/04/07.
274 (C.10) Employment Rights (Dispute Resolution) (1998 Order) (Commencement No. 1 and Transitional and Saving Provisions) Order (Northern Ireland) 1998
This Order brings into operation various aspects of the 1998 Order including Schedules 1, 2 and 3 at the respective times of 8th August 1998, 1st October 1998 and 1st January 1999.

A volunteer is not an employee or a worker and does not have an employment contract.
No 94 The Statutory Shared Parental Pay (General) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015
These Regulations come into operation on 15/3/15 and set out the qualifying requirements that must be satisfied by an employee, and also by their partner, for the employee to qualify for statutory shared parental pay.
No. 323 The Road Transport (Working Time) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007
These Regulations, as of 31/7/07, replace the references to the previous 1985 EEC Regulation with those relating to the 2006 EC Regulation and make various technical amendments and provisions on previous omissions on matters such as types of vehicle covered and provisions for Industrial Tribunals to hear appeals against improvement notices as if they had been issued under the Health and Safety at Work (NI) Order 1978 (Art.26).
No. 162 The Gangmasters Licensing (Exclusions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010
These Regulations revoke and replace the 2006 Regulations which make provision for the circumstances when a licence to act as a Gangmaster (as per the parent legislation) is not required.
