Early Conciliation
The Labour Relations Agency provides an Early Conciliation service following a change in NI employment law which took effect on 27 January 2020. This service helps to resolve workplace disputes in a legally binding way, without the need to take a case to the Industrial or Fair Employment Tribunal. No. 40 The Social Security Benefits Up-rating Order (Northern Ireland) 2020
This Order alters the rates and amounts of certain social security benefits and other sums from a variety of dates in early April 2020. In relation to employment the rates in these regulations cover - Statutory Sick Pay, Maternity Pay, Paternity pay and Parental pay.
No 63 The Employment Rights (Increase in Limits) Order Northern Ireland
This Order increases, from 6th April 2019, the limits applying to certain awards of industrial tribunals, the Fair Employment Tribunal or Labour Relations Agency statutory arbitration, and other amounts payable under employment legislation, as specified in the Schedule to the Order.

No 79 (C.7) The Employment Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 (Commencement No 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2018
This legislation becomes operational from 29/3/18 and makes changes regarding the provisions on the indexation of certain employment rights awards.
No 42 The Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order (Northern Ireland) 2020
This Order increases, from 6th April 2020, the limits applying to certain awards of industrial tribunals, the Fair Employment Tribunal or Labour Relations Agency statutory arbitration. Examples of these rates include the maximum amount of “a week’s pay” for the purpose of calculating a redundancy payment or various awards, including the basic or additional award of compensation for unfair dismissal is now £560. The limit on amount of guarantee payment payable to an employee in respect of any day is now £30.00. The other rates can be found in the Schedule to the Order.
No 30 The Employment Rights (Increase in Limits) Order (Northern Ireland) 2011
This Order increases, from 13/2/11, the limits applying to certain awards of Industrial Tribunals and other amounts payable under employment legislation as specified in the Schedule to the Order.
