Webinar - Variation of Contract
This webinar provides a summary of what you need to know about varying a contract of employment.
Escalating unresolved issues
Some issues in the workplace cannot be resolved informally so it is important that there is a fair and clear escalation process where each side meets their responsibilities. The Labour Relations Agency can offer information, flowcharts and codes of practice to help. We also offer confidential and impartial conciliation, mediation and arbitration services to help parties resolve issues without needing to go to tribunal.
The Agency is a public body with statutory responsibilities so there is no charge for our services.
Joint Declaration of Protection (for Dignity at Work and Inclusive Working Environment)
Joint Declaration of Protection (for Dignity at Work and Inclusive Working Environment) launched by the NI Employment Relations Roundtable.
Webinar - Hybrid Working
This webinar provides an overview to employers considering introducing hybrid working in their organisation. It complements the Labour Relations Agency ‘Practical Guide to Hybrid Working’, available to view or download free from our website.
The Cost of Workplace Conflict Podcast
Recent research has estimated the cost of workplace conflict for employers in Northern Ireland to be £851 million per year.
For the fifth podcast in our series on "Challenging Workplaces", we are joined by one of the authors of the research, Professor Richard Saundry from Westminster University, along with Nicola Barber, Chair of CIPD Northern Ireland, and our own Director of Employment Services, Mark McAllister, to discuss the topic and how managerial capability could help reduce these costs.
Who is an employee?
There are differences between ‘employees’, ‘workers’ and ‘contractors’. These differences in status can affect rights and responsibilities in the workplace.
