The Labour Relations Agency provides an Early Conciliation service following a change in NI employment law which took effect on 27 January 2020. This service helps to resolve workplace disputes in a legally binding way, without the need to take a case to the Industrial or Fair Employment Tribunal. This order brings into operation all the provisions of the Fair Employment and Treatment (Northern Ireland) Order 1998, apart from Articles 80, 96 and 98.

No 221 The Flexible Working (Eligibility, Complaints and Remedies) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010
These Regulations come into operation on 18/7/10 and amend the original 2003 Regulations by extending the scope of the right to request a contract variation to employees who have caring responsibilities for children under the age of 17.
No 63 The Employment Rights (Increase in Limits) Order Northern Ireland
This Order increases, from 6th April 2019, the limits applying to certain awards of industrial tribunals, the Fair Employment Tribunal or Labour Relations Agency statutory arbitration, and other amounts payable under employment legislation, as specified in the Schedule to the Order.
No 199 (C 12) The Employment Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2017
This Commencement Order brings into effect in Northern Ireland, as of 1/10/17, reforms to the Public Interest Disclosure (commonly referred to as the Whistle-Blowing legislation) which have been implemented in Great Britain between 2013 and 2015.
196 (C.18) The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (Commencement No. 6) Order (Northern Ireland) 1999
This Order provides for the implementation of further components of the 1995 Act, specifically sections: 19(1) (6), 20 (2), (5), (9) and 21 (1), 2 (d), (4), (6) and (10) which relate to the duty on providers of service to make adjustments.
