SkunkWorks Surf Company Ltd

SkunkWorks began in 2013 when Chris and Ricky decided to solve a major problem in the surfing world. The aim was to create the most robust soft surfboards and stand-up-paddleboards globally and manufacture them in Northern Ireland. We developed a patent-pending heat -bonding technology and prototype boards that gained global recognition.

SkunkWorks strives to make the best product in the global market, to be honest and transparent to both its team and customers and to operate with the highest of ethical standards. We are committed to minimising our impact in the environment, helping grow the local economy, offering the highest level of customer service and to the continued research and development of innovative products.

In 2015 we contacted the Labour Relations Agency to seek help with preparing employment documents.  Terms and conditions of employment and various employment procedures were discussed and documents were drawn up.  In 2016 we asked the Agency for assistance in drafting an Employee Handbook.  The handbook was prepared and we have now issued it to all employees.

The help from the Agency has been invaluable to SkunkWorks in ensuring we have the proper paperwork, manuals and contracts we need and how to implement them. The Advisor was very well informed, helpful, friendly and responsive and really supported us through the whole process of getting our documents together.  We would definitely recommend the Agency to other small businesses.
