The Supreme Court replaces the House of Lords
Today (1 October 2009) sees the official launch of the Supreme Court for the UK. The Supreme Court replaces the House of Lords as the final court of appeal for UK cases. The Supreme Court will continue as the House of Lords did making important decisions on cases in a wide variety of subjects including employment.
