REMINDER - SELF HELP GUIDES AVAILABLE ON LINE

The Agency has published a number of Self Help guides for employers.

These guides should enable employers to draft the following documents:

A written statement of main terms and conditions of employment. This guide includes a sample statement of main terms and conditions of employment and an accompanying guidance document.
an absence notification and certification procedure
a grievance procedure and
a disciplinary procedure

Each self help guide explains the legal requirements to have certain documents and the Agency offers further assistance in reviewing draft documents produced using these guides.

The Agency also runs Advisory Workshops to assist employers in drawing up the written statement of the main terms and conditions of employment. These workshops are held on the Agency premises in either Belfast or Londonderry on specified dates. There is no charge for attendance at these workshops.
