The Agency is launching a Learning Pathway for Small Businesses.
This Learning Pathway on employment relations has been designed to raise awareness on typical employment issues for small businesses. This is delivered through a series of good practice seminars which are designed specifically with small businesses in mind. When using the learning pathway you start at a seminar which gives a brief introduction to the law relating to employment and then move on to cover modules on fair recruitment and selection; managing absence from work; handling discipline and grievance; conducting employment investigations and handling redundancy.
The learning pathway also includes a workshop designed to help small businesses prepare employment documentation such as a statement of main terms of employment and disciplinary and grievance procedures.
Most of the modules last for about two hours, except for the workshop which lasts for five hours with a break for lunch.
There is no charge for attendance at any of these events.
